This is a professional core drill for making big holes in materials that are normally difficult to drill. The metal bonded diamond segments last a lot longer (about 50x more) than diamond coated holesaws because the diamonds are embedded throughout the segment and fresh ones are exposed as the bonding metal wears away.
DRILLS HOLES IN
Reinforced concrete and concrete blocks
Hardies and fiber cement type products
Marble, granite and other stone
Bricks and pavers etc
CORE DRILL SPECIFICATIONS
30mm diameter
170mm long
Laser welded segments

INCLUDES
Core Drill 30mm diameter
Drift key for ejecting pilot drill
SDS-Plus to 1/2" BSPF adapter
This will work without the pilot drill however if you need it purchase from our website, Google "Testntools DCB300PD".
The pilot drill gets the hole in the right place in materials where you'd normally use a masonry drill. For harder materials such as porcelain tiles and granite remove the pilot drill and tilt the holesaw until a moon cut is done then slowly straighten up. Or drill a hole in some thin scrap wood (e.g. hardboard) to use as a template guide that stops the holesaw skipping, until the hole is started.
DRILLING TIPS
1. Wet cutting is best. It reduces the amount of dust, flushes out the slurry so cuts a lot quicker and greatly extends the tool life by cooling the cutting edge.
2. If you have to dry cut do 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off to avoid overheating.
3. Never use hammer action it is less effective and the holesaw may be damaged.
4. For deep holes break out the core with a cold chisel then keep going.
