Shipping

We use a range of couriers to get you the best value shipping rates. The one we choose depends on your delivery address, whether that's a PO Box, home address, or Rural Delivery, etc.

Shipping is calculated based on the weight of your order and your delivery Postcode.

Any items over 25Kg must be delivered by truck. The delivery charge calculated at checkout applies to town and city CBD business addresses only (and local freight depot if available). It does not cover working-from-home business addresses. Check with us if you are unsure if your address qualifies or want a quote for delivery to a home or rural delivery address.

If your order is multiple items and over 25Kg you may find the shipping charges work out better if you place two smaller orders of less than 25Kg each.

Correctly calculating correct shipping rates is a complex matrix of ever-changing rates, fuel surcharges, and weather-related events. If the rate we're being charged by the carrier is higher than your order and more than we can absorb we reserve the right to adjust the shipping charge. This isn't something that happens often and we will let you know of any changes before sending your order.

Delivery times

If you order in the morning you will usually get your order the next day, add a day or two for rural delivery, the South Island, and remote areas.

If you haven't received your order within a reasonable timeframe or the tracking looks like it is stuck or lost then let us know ASAP and we'll assist with the courier to track it down.

Your delivery address

Please ensure your address is full and correct, this will help get your order to you quicker. If you have placed an order and then notice you have entered the wrong shipping address let us know ASAP and we'll correct it for you.

We can usually deliver to PO Boxes, it depends on the item. If not, we will let you know and ask for a street address.

If nobody is present to receive the package the courier will leave it in an appropriate place. If there is no safe place to leave it then a 'card to call' will be left. You may then collect it from the closest depot or arrange for re-delivery by calling the number on the card.

You may leave instructions in the order for the delivery to be left somewhere e.g. Leave at the front door but please note doing this transfers any liability from the courier company to you in the case of theft. 

Collection

We're a fully online store and our strong preference is to send all orders by courier which is quicker and easier for both of us. Orders are processed as fast as possible and the courier service is quick and efficient. Collection is generally not possible because our stock is housed at various locations. We can occasionally make exceptions if you need something urgently or for large/heavy items but please check with us first.

International shipping

We can send orders internationally to a range of popular countries. The rates are calculated automatically at the checkout based on your profile country address. If you are from a country not on our shipping list you'll get a message 'shipping method unavailable'. If you get this message contact us so we can help.

International orders are sent by NZ Post Economy Service with a 3-10 working days target delivery.

Prices are in New Zealand Dollars and are added to your order at the checkout.
 

Free shipping on some small items

We have some small items that qualify for free shipping when not combined with other items that have a shipping cost. These items are sent by normal airmail letter service. Delivery is normally 10 working days but can sometimes take a lot longer due to postal delivery workloads beyond our control.
